These days it is getting harder and harder to keep criminals from stealing things. Bank robberies are on the rise and home invasions are even worse. It is not uncommon for a criminal to break into a house and rob it in broad daylight or even while someone is there at night. Regular door locks, where you just use the key that came with the doorknob lock, used to be enough to keep your home secure, but not anymore. To add extra security to your house, because according to Wikipedia: A dead bolt or dead lock (also deadbolt), is a locking mechanism distinct from a spring bolt lock because a deadbolt cannot be moved to the open position except by rotating the lock cylinder. The more common spring bolt lock uses a spring to hold the bolt in place, allowing retraction by applying force to the bolt itself. A deadbolt can therefore make a door more resistant to entry without the correct key.
So take a look at the article below to see which kind of deadbolt you want, the materials you need, and how to install it. Don't make your house an easy target for criminals.

A Beauty In The Woods
You are in the middle of the deep woods on a hunting expedition with your friends. The only luxuries you have are tents with sleeping bags and your campfire utensils. While on this expedition, your friends have met up with another group of campers that happen to be a group of expert female hunters and they want to invite your hunting group to their camp to share in a celebration campfire meal of the ten point buck that one of their members killed with her rifle the night before. You, being the eligible bachelor that you are, would love to attract a fellow female hunter for a serious relationship, that hopefully leads to a life long marriage of hunting. But how can you make a good first impression when your hair, (greasy from three days of hunting, and plastered to your head from wearing your favorite hunting cap), looks like this! You can use the cordless razor you brought for your whiskers, but short of shaving your head, there's not much you can do to your hair in the forty degree weather with no warm water. While sitting in a lawn chair next to the campfire wondering what you should do, you look over and see one of your buddies frantically rubbing his hair with a white cloud of dust all around him. After the dust settles, he whips a comb from his back pocket, and within seconds he looks good enough to go to a formal dinner in a fancy restaurant. You get up from your lawn chair and walk over to him to see just what magic powder he has, and he reveals to you his secret. Take a look at the link below to see what you can pack ahead of time for just in case instances like this or other emergency situations you might be in, where your hair is dirty and you don't have time or don't have access to water to wash it.

InDoor Bar-B-Qing
You want bar-b-que chicken really bad, but it is so hot outside and burn bans are on everywhere. You have lots of friends and family over and everyone just can't wait for that delicious smell and taste. The only thing you can do is to move the bar-b-que inside instead! Bar-b-quing is an American tradition, and great for big family gatherings or parties, but when the conditions outside won't allow it, you can use the oven instead of the grill. The taste will be just as flavorful and you can cook it in the comfort of air conditioning! You may have to allow a little longer for the chicken to cook in the oven, but that will just give you more time to enjoy socializing with your guests and they may even thank you for it! For directions on how to make this meal a success, click on the link below to see what you will need and how to cook your bird.

Building Your Dream TreeHouse
Remember when you were a kid and you needed a little space of your own, other than your room, where you could go and hide or just get away from it all? Whether you were a boy or a girl, a treehouse was like owning your own house or that "delux apartment in the sky". Well, you can build your child that dream "treehouse". It is not hard to do and can be built so that it is safe for your child and his/her friends to play in for years. You can have your child help you get the materials and help pick out the tree it could be built in and you can also include them to help you build it by letting them help carry things or hand you things as you explain to them what to do. It will be a fun learning experience for you both that you will remember forever. Click on the link below to see what materials you will need and how to build it.

Brick It With Color
There are all types of brick houses and all colors of brick, such as the traditional red brick, a charcoal colored brick, a white brick, and even more. Sometimes though, you want a change, and it would be very costly to change out the bricks just to change the color of your house. One way to change the color of your brick house without replacing the brick is to paint it. Painting brick has become a trendy new thing and can creat the perfect "curb appeal" that you want. It only takes a few days and a few materials. Check out the link below to see how to do it.

How To Get Rid Of Bruises
"Hey, look out for that......(CRASH!)....book on the staircase!"....."I can't hold it any longer, you'd better move!!!" (WHAM!)...."Don't trip over that hole in the......(THUD!)....ground."
No matter who you are, how old you are, or how careful you've been, sometime or other you're gonna get a bruise. Hopefully it's not a bad one and doesn't cause you much pain and suffering, but nine times out of ten it's a big whopping purple knot that just keeps getting bigger and bigger and more ugly by the minute. And wouldn't ya know it, you have that big interview next week, or the date of the century with the person you've been waiting to go out with for months and now you've got this big bruise! Well, they do take some time to go away, but you can actually help speed up the process and help them start going away a little faster with a few simple techniques. Take a look at the article below to get a "one up" on getting rid of them sooner.

How To Build A Tree House
Remember how when you were a kid and spent all of your free time in your tree house with your friends planning your next attack on the make believe army of soldiers in the next yard or the woods behind your house? And if you weren't fortunate enough to have a tree house, then you were wishing that you had one! You and your friends drew up blue prints and gathered materials to go in it once you got it built, but by the time you saved up the money to have it built or your parents were found time to do it, you were headed off to college! A tree house isn't hard to build and you can build a tree house for your kids that you never got to have. Your kids will love it. Maybe they will even let you use the blue prints that you drew up when you were a kid. Here's how to do it:
